Our room was cozy, clean, and thoughtfully set up, with a fridge/freezer, bath and beach towels, an umbrella, water bottles, and a beer for the adults. It opened onto the courtyard and pool, which was heated, spotless, and in great condition. My toddler called the courtyard “nice and cozy” and wanted to jump in right away. We used the pool every day, and it was lovely to have it just outside our door. When I mentioned that my daughter kept slipping on the tile, Silvana quickly brought towels for us to lay down. The shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, and other bathroom items were good quality too. I don’t think the photos do the place justice. Silvana was so considerate before and during our visit. She emailed ahead to ask about our arrival and party size, answered the doorbell promptly when we arrived, helped me bring in my luggage as I was traveling alone with a 2 year old, and showed me to the private parking spot. She checked in to see if I needed anything else, and was happy to help with questions. We also chatted with the other guests, which made the place feel like a little family away from home. Breakfast was amazing, and clearly took a lot of time and care. I asked Silvana to make less food on the following days so we wouldn’t waste any. Across the street there’s an organic grocery store that makes sandwiches, plus a smoothie shop and a cute cafe down the block. It’s a relaxed area with Berkeley vibes. The waterfront is about a 5 minute walk, and this stretch of the malecon, the coastal path, is quieter. Azuelo is a wonderful restaurant nearby, with excellent seafood and fresh ingredients like sashimi, seaweed, and fish. The walk to the other end takes about 10 minutes at a slow pace. Roads and paths aren’t stroller friendly, so I carried my tired toddler in a hiking backpack. Silvana had helped another guest arrange a whale shark tour, with pickup included. They paid 1800 pesos ($102 USD), compared with >2400 pesos ($135) through Viator without pickup, sad face. My toddler and I loved our stay and would be happy to come back to La Paz. Thank you, Silvana, for making it so cozy and memorable.

Silvana was an amazing host, and we’d happily stay here again. It’s easy to walk around, close enough to everything but far enough away to stay quiet. The rooms were cute, roomy, and worked perfectly for our stay. We made good use of the heated pool every day after long outings. Breakfast was awesome: coffee, pastries, fresh fruit, and sandwiches prepared and served fresh. We were often so full we only ate one other meal! One small personal preference: the soap, shampoo, and conditioner weren’t the best. We usually bring our own just in case, but that might be something to look at.

Silvana was welcoming and clearly loves cooking. Breakfast was included and delicious, with enough food that you won’t leave hungry. We had an upstairs room with a small kitchenette and a balcony where it was nice to sit with a beer or glass of wine. We only stayed one night, but I’d come back. The location is very quiet, though it’s quite a walk to downtown if you don’t have a car.

Silvana made us feel at home with her warm welcome, thoughtful touches, and local suggestions, including Isla Espíritu Santo and Balandra Beach. Casa Juarez B&B is a lovely spot in La Paz, just a short walk from the city beaches. The casita was comfortable, cozy, and clean, and their friendly dog added to the charm. Breakfast was excellent, with fresh, varied dishes every day, including homemade pastries and Mexican specialties. I’d highly recommend it for a memorable stay.

The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, and the inn has a lovely courtyard with a heated pool, surrounded by several rooms. Both of our large, well-kept rooms had a king and a twin bed. The best part was breakfast. Silvana, the friendly and knowledgeable host, is an Italian ex patriot and makes one of the best breakfasts around: great coffee, poached eggs wrapped in bacon on a tostada, and different sliders, including some on her homemade focaccia. It’s just a great spot to stay in LaPaz.
