We felt safe the whole time, even when taking walks late at night, and I’d gladly return. The hotel was good value, with a clean, well-kept room and a nice layout. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Most spoke English, or worked out what we needed. The person checking us in even called to get us a better rate and arranged a packed lunch, since he thought the food on the boat wouldn’t be very good. We stayed near the water and booked a dive boat for three days of diving. We flew in and rented a car, which mattered because we wanted to go farther south. We’d been visiting Baja for years, then started going to the mainland for some reason. High crime was one reason we began reconsidering Baja. We chose this place because friends had stayed here. I highly recommend it if you want a reasonably priced place to stay.
