We found Casabuena a real treat, right in the heart of La Paz. The owners were lovely to deal with and looked after what we needed. Our room was clean and air conditioned, with a fridge, TV, and good beds. The pool was clean, cool, and refreshing. There’s a shared kitchen with continental breakfast, plus places to sit and chat with other guests, indoors, outdoors, or on the patio by the pool, in sun or shade. It’s an easy, safe 10-15 minute walk to the boardwalk and some great restaurants. We’re looking forward to coming back.

There’s a lot of potential here. The B&B idea is great, with a big kitchen, coffee and tea, and some complimentary food each morning. But the owner was rude and needs to learn how to speak to guests. Birds wander over the counter, dogs are all around, and ants were in one of our beds. They should put something on the doors to keep the animals out. The hygiene was lacking, and the price felt far too high for that kind of execution.

My kids were already wishing we could stay longer. The family room has plenty of space and everything we needed, and the balcony tables and chairs made a nice spot to work or unwind. We also loved the sweet dogs and adorable turtles. I just wish we didn’t have to leave early tomorrow, so we could try the freshly made muffins. Highly recommend.

The owners are friendly and on site, and the place felt safe, clean, and welcoming. It’s a spacious compound a few blocks from the malecon, an easy walk into downtown. Breakfast is self-serve, so if the coffee runs out you make more, and you wash the dishes you use. That was fine with us. The rooms are spacious but have little wall art or decoration. We had a great stay.

We were five adults and four kids, staying for one night. The children loved seeing the turtles and dogs, and the beds, while simple, were comfortable. We also appreciated the cereal, fruit, and yogurt left in the shared kitchen. Thanks for making us comfortable!
