We last stayed at The Westmarine Waterfront in 2021, and it looks like the rooms have had upgrades, including the lighting, fixtures, TV, decor, outlets, and drapes. The outdoor lighting is also much more modern. From across the malecon, you can spot the blue fluorescent rooftop lights at night and know it's the Westmarine Waterfront. The potted plants out front make it eye-catching from the street. Parking along the side can be tight during the day, but there's still plenty of room in front of the hotel. The landscaping inside and outside is well cared for, from the plants and trees to the rocks and overall design. It's clear they take pride in the place. The front desk and restaurant staff were professionally dressed, friendly, pleasant, and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was more than I expected, with a full buffet. The red chilaquiles were delicious and the sauce was perfectly seasoned. I was surprised to enjoy the pancakes too. I usually don't like pancakes made in Mexico, but these were close to Dennys in the USA. Compliments to the cook. We spent time at the bar, which is convenient to have. I wasn't a fan of all the steps in its layout, but we had a good time talking with Chado, the bartender. We plan to return with family and friends next time 👍🏼

The pool was clean and a great temperature, though the jacuzzi looked dirty. There's no beach access, and there was sometimes a sewer smell near the pool. The rooms we got had recently been redone and everything looked clean and worked well. They tidied the rooms daily, the linen was fresh and clean, and they replenished the coffee and water each day, which we really appreciated.

The rooms were clean, with a good hot shower that warmed up quickly, comfortable beds, and plenty of soft pillows. Front desk and buffet breakfast staff were very friendly and capable. The bartenders did their jobs well, though they weren't as friendly at first. As a bartender myself, I know drunk customers can be tiring. We were polite and respectful, and the bartenders warmed up to us after the first interaction. On Tuesdays there's a great taco drink special. I also heard some loud, obnoxious regulars being rude to the staff, so I understood why the bartenders might seem unfriendly initially. I'd recommend this place to friends and family.

Great spot next to one of the marinas, perfect for catching your boat, and the cotton sheets were clean. The place is a little dated, including the breakfast bar.
