Giovanni was a welcoming and very kind host at what I think is La Paz’s most beautiful, unique hotel. We’ll be back next year. Highly recommend!

The rooms had everything I needed, and the hotel itself feels really unique. I felt welcomed immediately and treated like a friend instead of a customer. I love the people who work here. Definitely recommend!

The younger woman at reception was nice, but the older woman the next morning wasn’t very friendly when I tried speaking my broken Spanish. The rooms are unusual, and the place is cheap and centrally located, but it felt dirty to my girlfriend and me. The sheets didn’t fit, the mattress was dirty, the ac didn’t work, and there was a musty smell, especially after a quick shower. Maybe I’d stay one cheap night by myself, but with my girlfriend it was too rustic.

A cute, beautiful place, and the owner is very welcoming and friendly. He helps however he can. There’s free coffee and a small kitchen for cooking simple things. The motto is mi casa es tu casa. We paid 1100 pesos per night.

The courtyard decor is wild and amazing if you’re into wired antiques: there’s a monkey corpse driving an old car corpse, plus old bottles, wagon wheels, and tools. The room was dark, the TV didn’t work, and you have to ask to have the hot water turned on. The bathroom faucet leaked and left the floor wet. Staff were friendly, and they had coffee, cereal, and bread for breakfast. It’s close to the beach and Mercado. I think it’s good for travelers with an open mind. My conservative parents probably wouldn’t like it, but my hippie roommate would love it.
