Hotel HBlue Malecón

We stayed four nights and slept great. The bed was so comfortable, the rooms were clean, and the staff were friendly. The views were beautiful, the food was great, and the drinks were good, especially the sushi, which was my favorite. We walked half the Malecon and took a taxi back. The walk was beautiful, and we never felt unsafe. I’d say it’s worth staying here. I only wish the pool worked better and that there were some evening or night activities.

We came in for dinner and had a wonderful time. The food was amazing, the service was lovely, and the view was beautiful. It’s a lovely hotel too. Recommended.

The view from the rooftop bar is magnificent, probably the best in town, and the hotel itself has a lot of potential. But we waited more than 30 minutes for drinks while several staff stood around doing nothing. They weren’t busy, and the service was appalling. The music was too loud and too pop for the setting. A more relaxed lounge feel, like Buddha Bar, would suit it better. The tacky Halloween decorations also take away from the hotel’s elegance. They need to get the staff organized, offer some great appetizers, and put on cooler music.

The rooftop pool is amazing, especially for watching the sunset with cocktails and sushi. Breakfast and restaurant food were very good, the rooms were comfortable, and the staff were extremely friendly. It was also amazingly priced. This was our second stay with HBlue in La Paz. We’ve stayed at both the Centro and Malecon locations, and both visits were fantastic. I’d stay here again without hesitation whenever I’m in La Paz.
