Residence Las Flores

We barely saw anyone all week, even at breakfast, so it felt like the place was ours. The sunset jacuzzi was just as private. Rooms were roomy, beds comfy, AC cold, and the water hot. Coffee, snacks, plus a private fridge and freezer in the room were a nice touch. The staff were really friendly and helpful. WiFi was patchy, but we didn't mind. Safe area, and easy to walk to shops and restaurants. We'd definitely come back.

The rooms are charming and the location is great, but getting help from staff or management was very difficult. We arrived around 8:45 PM after flying into Cabo and taking a 2.5-hour bus ride to La Paz. We hadn't clearly noticed that check-in ended at 7 PM, and it hadn't been communicated to us. From the bus, we tried email, Facebook, Instagram, and the phone number on the hotel's page, but no one answered. At the hotel, nobody was there to let us in. The bus had already gone, and after the buzzer got no response, we walked several blocks with our luggage looking for help. Someone at a nearby store kindly helped us find a ride to another hotel for the night. We came back the next morning and talked to the front desk. They apologized, contacted the manager, and told us we'd be refunded for the night elsewhere, but we never received that refund. The staff also seemed inexperienced with basic local arrangements. They weren't sure how to arrange massages or book a trip to Playa Balandra, and although they promised to help, the tour never happened. During check-in we were also mistakenly shown another guest's room. We let that mix-up go, but it added to the disorganization. It's a small property with just four rooms, so communication should be manageable, especially for late arrivals. We've stayed at similar boutique hotels where the personal service made the difference, but that wasn't our experience here. We wouldn't choose to return unless communication and service improve.

The sea view from our room was stunning, and the friendly cats were a lovely bonus. The rooms are spacious, with high ceilings and a comfy bed. Breakfast was amazing, and Alejandra and Karen were kind and so helpful. Wonderful hotel, highly recommend.

Giuseppe and his team made us feel right at home. The Residence is a short walk from the Malecon, and about 10-15 minutes on foot from lots of trendy cafes, restaurants, and plazas. The house is beautiful and peaceful, decorated with care, and the different terraces have incredible city views. The comfort was just right. A truly great stay.
