We only came in for breakfast, not a stay. The service was good, but I didn’t care for the black beans. The coffee was very strong and came in a tiny cup, and the tortillas were cold and hard. While we were eating, a truck nearby was loud and smelled bad because of a sewer problem. That wasn’t the restaurant’s fault, but it still made the meal unpleasant. 🤮🤢

The location made it easy to get to food and the whale shark boat jetty, and the check-in staff were friendly and helpful. The water in my room was only lukewarm, which felt rough after a cold day out on the water. The rooftop restaurant was convenient, and most of its staff were great, but a few were rude. They wouldn’t let our friends sit together and said our group could leave if we wouldn’t split up, since they insisted on exactly four people per table. The hotel itself was fine, though based on my stay it felt expensive for what it was. Maybe hotels around here all cost that much.

Edward was a great host, and the staff were all awesome. He pointed us toward tours that were friendly and modestly priced. This is a nice little boutique hotel on the Malencon, with a rooftop restaurant overlooking the water. The food and drinks were reasonably priced.

We’ll make this one a regular place to stay. The rooms were super clean, and there’s a good restaurant upstairs. Shops and restaurants are an easy walk away, and the staff were outstanding.
