The staff seemed aloof and bothered by questions, and the place was noisy. All rooms face the pool, so you hear people swimming and talking in their rooms, as well as planes passing overhead about once an hour. Wi-Fi only reached the common areas. When we checked out, there was a cockroach on the kitchenette counter. The room felt dated, had very few dishes, and the cutlery was dirty. The pool and hot tub were small and not very clean; the tub was overflowing with foam, and the tables by the pool hadn't been cleaned after a party the night before. The room rate felt far too high for what we got, and their peso-to-dollar conversion rate was 14. Bringing a pet added 350 MXN per night plus tax. The included breakfast was just a croissant and a few pieces of fruit, with hot breakfast costing extra. I asked to have the complimentary breakfast brought to my room. They boxed it up, then said the takeaway containers cost 14 pesos each. I hadn't been told about that charge and had no pesos with me, so she went to reception, and apparently 28 pesos was put on my room. But my VISA was charged 220 pesos, or $20, instead. On the morning of our second night, we returned from a walk to find the maid doing a full clean, with fresh sheets and towels after we'd used them only once. I'd rather have had a hot breakfast. DO NOT STAY HERE.

The lovely courtyard had a warm pool in winter and a really nice hot tub. Our spacious room was spotless, the bed was amazing, and the staff were kind. There was an extra fee added after check-in, and Wi-Fi only reached the common areas. The checkout and pool hours also didn't match the times listed when we booked.

I was there for three nights. The large rooms had well-equipped kitchenettes, the beds were comfortable, the hotel was clean, and the staff were friendly. The restaurant was average. My main issues were cold showers, with the last day's water too cold to stay under for long, and Wi-Fi that barely worked in the rooms. There were also large crickets inside, and the sliding glass doors were tricky to lock and unlock. If those things don't bother you, you could have a great stay.

It's a little outside the main town, about a 15-minute walk to the water or just a few minutes by car. The pool gets partial shade through the day, which is welcome when it's hot. The pool area is on the small side. My room was nice, with a good bed and kitchenette, and the hotel has a good restaurant and a small store attached. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. For the room price and service, it felt like fantastic value. I had a great stay at the Hotel Santa Fe in Loreto.

The rooms were clean and secure, and the staff helpful and friendly. It's a bit of a walk to downtown and the waterfront, though still manageable on foot. Watch out for all the hazards on the sidewalks. If you book the breakfast-included option, the choices are limited.
