Hotel Palmas De Cortez

The beds were super comfortable and the view was spectacular, so the hotel stay itself was fabulous. Dinner on Valentine's Day was the rough part. Even with reservations, we were seated below deck on the sand beside a constantly running air conditioner generator, on cheap plastic chairs. One leg sank into a pocket in the sand and I fell backward. For what the resort costs, I think we should have been seated somewhere else. The buffet food was hot and there was plenty of it, and the Lack family performing were outstanding. The dessert was pretty much one bite, though. A great experience overall, apart from that seating and the tiny dessert.

The beach was lovely to walk along, and watching the kite surfers in the afternoon was great. Las Palmas pickleball complex is just across the parking lot, and there are several restaurants on site and within walking distance. I had a great week, with a gorgeous view from my second-floor room and balcony. The staff were very friendly and hospitable.

The beach was beautiful, swimmable, and great for long walks. We even saw cars and side-by-sides driving right along the sand, which was a unique sight. Hotel Palmas de Cortez was a comfortable, clean place with welcoming staff, and the location made it easy to walk to stores, restaurants, and around Los Barriles. We stayed two nights while exploring the East Cape. Our large room had an equally spacious washroom and a lovely view over the pool and beach. The sunrises were stunning, definitely worth an early start. We rented a cart to explore town, which made it more fun. Right next door is a huge pickleball facility with 24 gorgeous courts and stay-and-play packages. We didn't play, but checked it out and were seriously impressed. We'd happily stay here again and recommend it.

The location made it easy for our guests to explore Los Barriles at their own pace, and we felt very safe there. Hotel Palmas was the perfect place for our dream wedding, hosting more than 100 friends and family with care, organization, and real hospitality. Liz supported us throughout planning with clear communication and great attention to detail, which made us confident about bringing an international group and knowing everyone was in good hands from booking onward. The property amenities have clearly been updated with intention. Our beach ceremony, band on the stage, and reception under the stars were all beautiful. The pool area is gorgeous, with a swim-up bar, and Pablo, Rudy, and Maribel provided consistently excellent service. The restaurants were a highlight too, with fresh food and wonderful service that felt like part of the experience. Oscar and the bar team kept drinks flowing and brought great energy during the wedding, and our guests loved them. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. Some are newly updated and others more traditional, but service was reliable and thoughtful room attendants made the stay easy. Jorge coordinated smooth airport transfers and guest logistics, while Eduardo, the best driver in town, made everyone feel safe, welcome, and well cared for. We couldn't have picked a better wedding venue. Hotel Palmas helped make memories we'll all cherish.
