Esplendor by Wyndham Los Mochis Country Place

We didn't sleep at all, and I can't recommend this place. The guests in the next room shouted and played loud music around midnight. I called reception three times, and was told, “What do you expect me to do? I've already called, and they're ignoring me.” There was no drinking water, soap, or shampoo in the room, so I had to ask for them. The windows did little to block the noise from the busy avenue outside, and the AC was either off or freezing and very loud, so we turned it off. I'd called a week before our arrival to arrange a taxi, and they said it was scheduled. I checked again on the day of my flight, only to learn they hadn't booked anything. We arrived at 7 PM, but our room wasn't ready until 8. I've never stayed in a worse hotel. It felt like nobody was managing the place. Any other hotel is better than this dump.

The beds, pillows, and blankets were very comfortable. The room itself was a different story: the entrance was quite dirty, and I even found hair on the walls. The elevator was out of service later, and nobody had told us. When we checked in, the young woman at the desk made what I felt was a derogatory remark about the price I'd paid through the app. It made me think we were going to get the worst rooms. I also asked how to request an invoice, and she seemed rather indifferent.

We booked a taxi for the next morning, but that wasn't arranged either. The night before, two people in the room next to ours kept making noise until 3 a.m., with phone calls and music. We called reception three times and got very little help. The receptionist said he had called them twice, but that's false, he clearly hadn't. He went up, got no answer at the door, and left. We'd also called three times to schedule a ride from the airport. Ms. Itzel, who was the person we spoke with each time about the taxi, laughed awkwardly when we tried to sort it out at reception. This was the worst service we've ever received, and the worst stay of my life.

The rooms are large, but the AC units are old and very noisy. The water only got lukewarm, and the coffee station had neither water nor cups. There was no mini-fridge, either. It's not especially close to things, though you can walk there, and the restaurant is inside the hotel. For what you get, it felt very expensive. Service was okay, but a lot of the staff seemed new.
