Hotel del Valle

It's a large hotel with standard rooms that have Netflix.

We asked for our money back and moved to another hotel. The central location was convenient, but it felt dangerous at night. Federal agents were outside the hotel and sometimes came into the reception area. Inside the room, we found a huge cockroach in the bathroom right away. The air conditioning didn't work, and the sheets were stained. Terrible.

For 450 per room, it was fine. The room was clean and smelled good, and it had the essentials to get by. It's a little old, but that didn't seem like a big issue to me unless you're someone who complains about everything.

I paid $400 pesos, and it was disappointing to get so little for that price. The service was good, but the place was dirty and smelled strongly of food, like someone had eaten in the room. There were stains on the sheets, and it was obvious they hadn't been washed. The TV was an old style, not a flat screen. The bed wasn't comfortable, the window was dirty, and the bathroom didn't look very clean. I thought it was like a rooftop room. I didn't feel comfortable, so I changed hotels, and of course there was no refund. The hotel I found was called "Flamingo". This isn't a promotion, I should clarify, but it was much better than the other place. It had a big comfortable bed, was clean, and had a flat-screen TV with several channels, air conditioning, and a terrace. I felt safer and more comfortable there, all for $350. Of the two, it was the most comfortable and safest compared with the other one. I'm sharing what happened and offering advice: you can check it out for yourself and ask to see the rooms before paying. It's disappointing to pay so much and get so little.
