Shops and restaurants are easy to reach on foot, and I’d gladly stay here again. The hallway dispenser has hot and cold water, which helps since there’s no fridge in the room. Our room was roomy, with two double beds; one was more comfortable, though we slept well overall. The bathroom was spacious too, with a shower that took a while to get hot. The air conditioning in the lobby was a relief from the heat outside, and once we found the right setting in our room, it ran quietly all night. We came by local bus from El Fuerte, and showing the driver where the hotel is helped us get dropped off nearby, just a short walk away.

This old building has plenty of character, and the staff were friendly. It’s a really quiet place, with big showers and comfortable beds. The location made it easy to walk to most places we wanted to go, and it had everything we needed.

The owners and staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, and there are some decent restaurants very close by. My room was quiet and peaceful, and the internet was fast and reliable. It was basic, but extremely clean. They seemed to clean the room fully every day, even during my two-night stay. I had a great time here.

The staff were gracious and let us check in shortly after 9am, even though the stated check-in time was 1pm. We were stopping for one night after coming from Baja California by ferry and before setting off for Copper Canyon. The room was basic and generally clean. There was a dead cockroach in it when we arrived. I assume it had eaten poison and scuttled in before dying, so the housekeeper may not have noticed it. We had no other issues with the room. The air conditioning was very welcome in the sweltering heat, and the shower had decent pressure. There was purified water on our floor. The Wi-Fi sometimes didn’t work well, possibly because of bandwidth: we could browse on one device but not a second.

The staff are really friendly, and the location is right in the middle of everything. I’ll come back when I travel.
