I especially loved the mountain and pool view from the first room, so if you get the chance to book it, I don’t think you’ll regret it. There are sunny spots as well as plenty of shade, and the pool and jacuzzi are lovely. The place has thoughtful details, and the art around the hotel is interesting. The spa massage was good, though a bit expensive. We stayed two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The facilities, rooms, and staff were the best we’d experienced in Mexico. We’ll come again.

Francisco and his team made us feel incredibly welcome, and breakfast’s huevos divorciados were delicious. Quinta Ascensión worked perfectly as a weekend escape from CDMX, with a lovely pool to cool off in after exploring. It’s also a great base for Malinalco and the nearby archeological site.

I really liked the quiet, laid-back feel and how intimate the place is. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I’d definitely return.

Paco is an exceptional host. This is easily one of my favorite places, and as a guide in the area, I’ll recommend it to pilots, athletes, and couples.
