The staff were good, and the beach access was good too, but the restaurant was closed and the hotel’s upkeep was shockingly bad. It’s literally falling apart. One of our rooms had a broken window and flooded overnight in the rain. We had no hot water, room service, Wi-Fi, or TV in the room, even though those were all supposed to be available.

The rooms were dirty and the A/C didn’t work, and the food wasn’t good at all. The kitchen staff looked dirty too. Service was very poor from check-in onward: they had trouble getting our rooms ready, and although check-in was at 3, we didn’t get a room until 6. Staff throughout the hotel were rude, making horrible gestures at guests and giving attitude. The woman at check-in even accused my family of stealing and threatened to search our luggage.

Coming from the States, about $56 a night for all-inclusive food and alcohol seemed really inexpensive. The pool is right in front of the beach, and we had a really nice time. The beds were pretty stiff, but a room sleeps eight. The ocean was fairly calm.
