Hotel Harbour Inn Veracruz

The restaurant has an amazing view. The hotel is upstanding, with very good amenities and clean, nice bedrooms.

The hotel is well located and nice, but I wouldn't recommend it because of how the noise was handled. About a month ago, a housekeeper played loud music early in the morning on certain days while I was trying to sleep. Once, she and her boss were also having an argument loud enough for guests to hear. A woman told me it wasn't the first time. It felt very unprofessional, and they should work things out through the right channels or somewhere private. Manager, please address this without letting it spoil other people's vacations.

The restaurant has beautiful views and delicious food, while the rooms are just okay. What concerned me most was the emergency staircase: the steps are uneven, the concrete is unfinished, there's no lighting or windows so it's pitch black, and there's no handrail. If an earthquake meant we had to use those stairs, I feel a fatal accident would be almost certain. I can't understand why such a beautiful hotel would overlook safety in a port that gets earthquakes so frequently.

The quality has gone way down, and I won't return. The pool was filthy, the food was terrible, and the included breakfast was treated like a gift even though it's part of the price. Service was awful, and employees communicated so poorly that they even argued in front of guests. If you can find a better option, go somewhere else.
