Encanto de la Sierra Hotel

We were traveling all over Mexico when my family got tired, so I stopped in Mascota for a rest. I stumbled across Encanto Dea Sierra Hotel, and it turned out to be the best place I've ever stayed. The service, rooms and breakfast were all 10/10. And the shower pressure made the whole shower experience top-notch.

I live in the US now, but coming back to my town of Mascota and staying in this beautiful hotel made for a wonderful vacation. It's family owned and run, and the service is outstanding, five-star level. I'll always stay here when I visit. The hacienda is beautiful, with lovely gardens, and even the fountain by the entrance was decorated beautifully for Christmas. Our room stayed warm in winter and cool when it was hot outside. Water pressure is usually an issue in Mascota, but not here. There's always hot water. The rooms are spotless, and the towels and sheets are soft. They have delicious coffee and a couple of sweet cookies and baked goods each morning, all complimentary. You can order breakfast, but I was happy with the coffee station every morning. The location is great, too. El Tapanco, the town's top restaurant, is right across from the hotel, and we enjoyed the food. There are also plenty of good taco stands nearby, the plaza is just a few minutes away on foot, and the local supermarket is within walking distance.

We stayed one night while traveling from Guadalajara to Puerto Vallarta, and we'll visit again. The hotel is close to everything, with plenty of free parking, and the historic town is lovely. The owners have made a dream of a hotel, full of traditional, beautiful details. The courtyard feels like heaven, and the customer service was excellent. We enjoyed our stay and recommend it to others.

It's a fantastic family-run boutique hotel, absolutely spotless, with comfortable beds, a great shower and an incredible garden. Cristina checked us in and was fantastic. Well-behaved dogs stay free, too.
