We ordered the arrachara steak for $329, but it was so tough I couldn't cut or eat it. It came on a small plate with some beans, and seemed smaller than the listed 250 grams. After a few bites, it was obvious it wasn't arrachera. We sent it back with 90 % uneaten, but they still charged us, with only a small discount. We're never going back.
The food was very good, and I'd recommend it. One tip: get the steak well done. Medium well came out almost Rare for me. Next time I'll ask for Well Done and get the mushroom sauce on the side. Service was great, too.
We were a group of 14, and the parking situation was helped by a lady who guided the cars since there wasn't enough space. We got seated quickly, the waiter took our drink order promptly, and the food came out fast too. We tried several kinds of chilaquiles and everyone was really happy with their meal. I especially loved the “malteada de chocolate.” There's a good variety on the menu, and we'll come back to eat here next time we're in Mazamitla. The food and service were outstanding!
It has a cafeteria feel, with plenty of choices. They even have chicken soup in vegetarian or meat-based versions, handy if you're feeling under the weather, and they serve generous portions of totopos. The decor is fun too, with lots of pictures of celebrities and places around the world.
Nice ambiance and a great vibe at the restaurant, though the food was just so-so, nothing extraordinary.
