Monteverde

The view is really nice, and the people are helpful. I like the rustic feel, but the wood creaks badly and bends like it might nearly break. The toilet paper holder was broken too.

Mazamitla is a beautiful, fun place to visit. We stayed in a rustic cabin that was well kept, surrounded by lush greenery on a terraced hillside. The hotel supplied firewood and kindling, so bring matches or a lighter. We made a couple of small meals in the little kitchen, and I was glad I'd packed a small coffee pot.

The grounds are huge, and the cabins have plenty of room. The staff are friendly, and there's room service on site. Access is controlled, which adds a sense of safety. There are options for families with kids as well as more secluded cabins for couples. This may be the best location in Mazamitla.

The cabin was clean and had a rustic feel. Room service was great, but it could've used a heater or some extra blankets. Fernanda was amazing when I booked and gave great customer service. At check-in, though, one of the women wasn't very pleasant.
