There’s a wild sports bar in the parking lot, and its milkshakes are seriously intense!

The office staff were accommodating, and the location is great. But most afternoons, the privately run bar beside the pool gets so full that its patrons spill into the pool area. Hotel guests who’ve paid to use the pool can’t find a table or chair, and if you do, you have to put up with bar customers talking and smoking. We even watched one wash their socks and feet in our pool. We complained to the office several times about how unfair it was to paying guests and how hotel staff had to clean up after the bar patrons. The office agreed management should address it, but complaining there didn’t help. The staff from the hotel and restaurant are noisy when they arrive for work, and the sound echoes around the hotel, so you’ll be woken very early each morning. The rooms also need some upkeep. We enjoy cheaper, very Mexican accommodation when we travel in Mexico, but the bad outweighed the good here. I can’t say I’d stay again.

The bed was comfortable, the pool was clean, and the staff were very friendly. It’s a simple hotel in a perfect spot if you like live bands and walking along the malecón.

The small pool is beautiful and clean, and the showers were hot by Mexican standards. There’s good private parking when it’s available, and the staff speak English. The Wi-Fi was very poor or unusable in some corner rooms. For its price range, I’d choose this hotel over the others.
