The room was fine, and the staff were helpful and friendly. But construction and repairs in the rooms next door went on constantly. Hammering and cutting started at 6:30 AM every day and carried on into the evening. We were so disappointed that we left three days early and found somewhere else to stay.

The rooftop pool at the Palms is great at sunset, and its breakfast buffet is very nice. We like moving up to the gold coast after visiting Posada Freeman. We always enjoy our stays there for the great views, its Centro district location, and all the good restaurants nearby. Hiking to El Faro is always on our list, too. It's another neat classic hotel, solid but not super fancy.

La Terreza has a lovely cool off pool and a stunning view. We went up to the roof patio for drinks, and the margaritas were amazing. The bartenders were great, too. If you're visiting Mazatlan, you have to check it out. We'll be back.

This is a nice historic building, well maintained, in the old town by the ocean. The breakfast was decent. Just know it gets noisy on weekends, since the malecón runs beneath all the ocean view rooms.

We paid 2,700 MX for one night. My sister and I were charged extra for being adults, even though there were two beds, and I don't understand why age meant an extra fee. Our room matched the pictures, was clean, and had good AC, but no balcony, towels, or soap. Breakfast was arranged for us and excellent. The service was good, and they helped right away. There was no shower curtain, so water got all over the bathroom. Still, the pricing was good, and it's right across from the beach and walkway. I had a good stay despite those small problems and would check it out again.
