Hotel Hacienda Mazatlán

I came back to hotel hacienda after staying here last year and found it had improved a lot. The rooms are more comfortable now, and the housekeepers keep everything nice and clean. Jasmine set me up in a nice room with an ocean view. Arely, who works the night shift at reception, was friendly and professional and made us feel at home. My housekeeper Marcela was also very nice, always ready to help and kept my room clean and neat. Thank you all.

The rooms were old and had cockroaches. Reception was very rude, and our rooms still weren’t ready almost an hour after the stated check-in time had passed. When we asked to speak with the manager, they even laughed in our faces. I’ll never come back.

There were several problems with my room: the key card failed for two days, the deadbolt wouldn’t work, and the safe was broken. The hallway and entry to my room were dark because the lights weren’t on. Staff responded, but they didn’t fix everything. They did have reasonable Covid 19 procedures in place.

I only stopped briefly to use the facilities, but the interaction was very friendly. It was nice seeing the hotel lit up with its big red heart, and the prices seem reasonable.
