Hotel Tierra Marina Centro Histórico

The rooftop pool was lovely, and the staff were nice. The hotel’s in a great spot too.

The entrance looks attractive, and the decor gives the place a distinctive feel. Staff were friendly.

The hotel itself is really beautiful, and getting around from its excellent location was easy. There isn’t a parking lot right in front, but there’s one nearby where a very nice woman helped us. It cost 150 pesos. We stayed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, leaving by 8 p.m. on Sunday. My room felt fairly modern and had a very nice bathroom, though the water flow was weak and there was no closet. The air conditioning cooled the room well. Everything was very clean, and the reception staff, maids, and manager were extraordinary. Service was pleasant throughout.

We had water during our stay, so the supply wasn’t an issue, but it never got hot. I’d read complaints about dirty rooms and insects, yet ours was well kept and hygienic. The room was small but comfortable. For what you get, the price felt high to me, though it may seem more reasonable if you don’t use the pool. We didn’t use it, so I can’t say how it was.
