Hotel Solamar Inn

I was robbed on the first night of our three-day stay, after my friends and I had booked five rooms. Another friend found her door open twice, and a third found her things tossed around. We asked to see the camera footage to find out who had entered the rooms, but weren't given access. Please be careful if you stay here. It was an awful experience.

The pharmacy staff were helpful, but the rules felt very strict. There were bugs in the room and the TV had no channels. They also misplaced someone's belongings while we were changing rooms. If you lose anything, good luck getting it back.

There's nothing fancy about this place, but the rooms are good quality and we've stayed here on our last two trips to Mazatlan. Our junior suite had two double beds and a small kitchen with a little fridge and dishes and cutlery for four. The maid cleaned our room every day. We'll probably stay here again on our next visit.

The room service lost or possibly stole some of my belongings, and when I raised it with the employees, they said nothing could be done. The air conditioning didn't work, the rooms weren't clean, and the showers were disgusting. The food and pool were horrible too. Staff were rude and didn't seem to care about our stay or about people watching their kids at the pool. I feel like you can find a better place for the same price. I don't recommend it.
