Casa Lú Mazunte Hotel Boutique - Adults Only

The view was stunning, and we really had everything we needed there, so there wasn’t much reason to head out exploring. I spent the night with a small group of friends: we had music, dancing, cold beer and tasty food. The staff treated us so well, and the rooms, beds, pool and dining area were all very clean. Thanks to everyone for such a fun evening. I’d happily come back.

We enjoyed our stay and would probably return, though a few things could be better. The WiFi wasn’t very stable, and service felt a little slow. The rooms could use more places to store clothes and hang things, plus an in-room safe and refrigerator. Food and drinks could improve too. Doba, the breakfast and brunch cafe up the road, is clearly busy. Taking a cue from them might help the hotel’s food and beverage business.

Casa Lu had a really relaxing feel, and we loved staying there. The internet in our room gave us some trouble, but the location is amazing, the food was delicious, and the staff were genuinely kind and helpful. We’d definitely return.

If you plan to linger at Punta Cometa after sunset, bring a flashlight. We also found Comedor El Economico in town a good place for a Mexican breakfast or lunch away from the usual path. At the hotel, the pool, beach access and easy walk into the center were all highlights. The grounds and housekeeping teams worked carefully and warmly to make the place feel comfortable. Our room was clean and nice, though a small fridge, hairdryer and more hooks for clothes or towels would have helped. I’d read about that beforehand, so brought a collapsible cooler and bought ice in town. That’s handy if you don’t want to get all your drinks at the hotel. It’s a peaceful spot right in Mazunte, with very friendly staff.
