Hotel Casa Nuevo Leon

Loved the city view and the mid-century modern furniture. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. They had loose leaf tea, coffee beans with a grinder and Bodum, and a hot shower with all the soaps you need. There’s a super cute cafe downstairs, too. Wonderful location, and I’d definitely stay again!

The rooms are beautifully done, with big comfortable beds and even a coffee grinder, which I don’t see in many hotel rooms. The Condesa location is great, and the front desk staff were very friendly. For the price, it’s hard to find this kind of quality in Mexico City, so I’d happily stay again. I was there on a Saturday night and had worried after reading the reviews about the noisy bar downstairs. There is a nice bar playing music, but I barely heard it on the third floor. I might not have liked it on the first floor, but my room was one of the quietest I’ve had in Mexico.

We had a lovely stay overall thanks to the setting and the quality of the furnishings and design. The beds and sheets were cozy, and the rooms were nicely appointed in a great location. Just know the road is very busy and loud. The original single-pane windows let in everything happening outside, and even from the third floor we felt the noise.

I’d happily return to this comfortable, spacious hotel in CDMX. I’d heard complaints about noise from Caiman, but my room faced C. Ozuluama on the second floor, so it wasn’t really an issue. The location, room size, and general comfort make it a good place to stay, provided the price doesn’t go up. A few things could be better: you only get one key per room, which is ridiculous when you’re sharing with someone and on holiday. Please fix this, it’s easy. The toilet paper was the roughest I’ve ever used, ouchie. There’s no AC, which didn’t bother me in November since we kept the window open, but the tiny fan might not be enough in summer.
