Posada Las Tortuguitas

I’ve come back year after year, five years now, and it’s easy to see why. The hosts are consistently friendly, the stay is smooth, and the place feels secure, quiet, and comfortable. The building has real character and stands out from the usual coastal properties. The beach is a short walk away, and I never get tired of the sea views.

I spent about a month with Juan Luis, Fanny and Jack in 2018 and loved how hospitable they were. It felt like home in paradise. I’ve recommended Las Tortuguitas to friends and would recommend it to anyone visiting or spending time in Mazunte. I hope I get the same room next time. That view haunts my dreams.

It was such a lovely change from our usual hostels, even though we paid more than we normally would. We came in the off season, so hardly anyone was there, and they offered us coffee in the morning. The staff were incredibly friendly, the room came with soap and towels, and the big open kitchen was super nice. It overlooks the water beautifully and is very close to the beach. I’d highly recommend staying here.

We were four friends in the new upper apartment, and it was just lovely. The apartment itself was great, with an amazing sea view from the balcony. It had a big clean bathroom, good Wifi, a fridge, and a kitchen area that wasn’t ready for cooking yet because it was new. There were two double beds upstairs.
