The top-floor pool area is great, and the lounge chair was my favorite place to spend the evening. The hotel itself is beautiful and in a great location. The room was simple, like a small motel, but clean. The bed was fine, though the pillows were too hard. The main trouble was parking. Don’t follow Google Maps, the hotel parking is offsite two blocks away. I’d selected that I had a car when booking and wish they’d told me. It took me over an hour to find the place. The hotel is in a plaza, not on the street, so you have to pull over with your emergency lights on, go into the lobby and ask for parking, then they lead you to the lot, about 1/4 mile away. If you have an early flight, the lot isn’t open. They give you keys to get your car out, which you have to return afterward. In room 44 on the top floor, the cold water pressure was so weak that turning the shower all the way to cold still gave me a warm or even scalding shower. I told the front desk several times, and they sent a technician, but nothing changed. One night I had to cool off for an hour before I could sleep.

We had a suite with balconies and loved it. The staff were great, and breakfast was huge and delicious. The property and neighborhood are beautiful, with everything we wanted to do within walking distance. It was a perfect day.

Parking is a little unusual. You pull in near the spot I circled, before the bus stop shown, put on your emergency lights, then go inside with your luggage. Someone will escort you to the lot. The location is amazing for seeing the city. Our room was very clean with good AC. WiFi was spotty in our corner room on the top floor. Still a great deal!

I’ve stayed here twice now and plan to come back on my next trip to Merida. It’s a very old, quiet hotel right in the center of town, with a great location and easy Uber access. The place is very clean, the Wi-Fi works great, and the AC is amazing in a hot city like Merida. The beds and linen were very good.

I got a lot for my money here, and it was better than I expected. The location is great, right in the heart of the Centro Historico but still quiet. I’ll definitely stay again.
