Casa Cuevas & Amaro

The garden is beautiful, especially for sitting outside at sunrise or sunset when it cools down. A young woman tends the plants every evening, and they look lovely. The owners are kind and speak several languages, which made communication much easier than at other properties. It’s a very nice, accommodating place, though it’s not a five-star hotel. I think it’s just right for a solo traveler or a couple, and I already booked a spot for later this year when I return to Merida. There’s a shared kitchen, a fridge in the room, a private bathroom, and a flat-screen TV. The property gets cleaned daily, while rooms are cleaned once or twice a week if you want. They provide toilet paper and a nice shampoo packet on arrival. Several tienda six's are nearby for toiletries, snacks, and drinks, and the main store is less than a mile away on foot. The San Benito market is about half a mile away, and the food there is absolutely amazing. Much love to the owners.
