We had a lovely time chatting with Giovanna and got plenty of useful recommendations. The place is beautiful, and she made us feel welcome right away. Daniel, the housekeeper, was kind and wonderfully attentive too. We’d happily recommend staying here for a great Mérida experience.

The rooms, breakfast, and host were all wonderful, and the house has a character all its own. It’s only about a 15-minute walk to the center of Mérida. A really special place to stay.

We wish we’d booked more time here. Giovanna and Daniel were so warm and kind when we arrived, and made us feel at home straight away. The house has lovely details and a distinctive charm, with a peaceful oasis feel right in the city. We can’t think of a better place to stay in Mérida. Thanks for everything, we’re already looking forward to coming back!

Casa Tres Colibries worked really well for us as a small, intimate place to stay near Centro. We spent seven days there on our first trip to Mexico. The Santiago streets and buildings looked a little rough around the edges as we came from the airport, so I felt some trepidation, but Giovanna and her associate greeted us warmly and put us at ease. Inside, the house was spacious, gorgeous, clean, and bright, with an open-air courtyard. Our room, number 5, was a large suite with a king bed, sitting area, and en suite bathroom. It opened directly onto a second courtyard with a shared pool, and was somewhat apart from the other four rooms. Daniel, a friendly and professional member of staff, serviced and detailed the room every day. The location made it easy to explore the historic center. I think you can walk to most of Centro within half an hour, and Santiago itself has plenty to see and places to eat. There’s a lush garden courtyard and a clean, cool pool where you can relax and plan the day. Breakfast is continental, with fresh fruit prepared daily and other choices, plus good coffee, juice, and cheese. Giovanna has a warm, engaging manner and is always available for questions or suggestions. Since she lives there too, you get the sense she’ll be around if any issue comes up.
