Casa Italia Luxury Guest House - Adults Only

The only downside was that the small room on the main floor was a bit noisy. We stayed an extra day and that was the only room available. Otherwise, it was one of the best hotel stays I’ve had: a spacious room, a little balcony, comfortable beds, and a great shower. The staff were excellent, spoke great English, and helped me arrange a rental car. Can’t recommend it enough.

Our room was huge, with very cold air conditioning, a large bathroom, robes, plenty of storage, a safe, and an espresso machine. Breakfast was included every day and was very good, and the owners and managers made sure we were looked after. We’d originally booked their sister hotel, Casa San Lucia, but changed to Casa Italia before arriving because of construction. The hotel is pretty, clean, and quiet. It’s a bit far from shops and restaurants, though still very walkable, and we could get an Uber quickly when we needed one.

Small and cozy, with a really peaceful atmosphere. The staff are friendly and ready to help with whatever you need, and I’d definitely recommend staying here to relax. Breakfast is decent for the price, especially since it’s included. We were put in the top room, though, and the water pressure sometimes wasn’t very good during the day.

The staff made us feel welcome and went out of their way to make the stay enjoyable. We were treated like family, which is high praise in hospitality. The property is beautiful, and our room was spacious and extremely comfortable. Everything at Casa Italia felt first class. We stayed in mid-February and were very happy with our choice. We’ll stay here again when we return to Merida, and recommend Casa Italia without reservation.
