Ya'ax Hotel Boutique

It’s easy to walk from here to all the sights in historic Merida. The building feels beautiful and modern inside, though it used to be an old restaurant.

The decor was lovely, and I’d happily stay again. It’s centrally located, near Paseo Montejo. The front desk was very helpful, though the breakfast waiter could have been friendlier.

The rooms let in quite a bit of sound, so you can hear your neighbors. Apart from that, it’s a really cool place, with super friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast and coffee were awesome.

I only stayed one night, and it was pleasant overall. The shower didn’t have hot water, but I didn’t ask them to fix it since I was leaving the next day. The staff were absolutely lovely, friendly, and accommodating. I also liked the beautiful interior design, although the materials didn’t seem especially high quality. There’s still room to improve some things.
