Yucatán Vista Inn has become my second home in Mérida, and a great base for getting to know the city. I come back every year because it feels like home. The house is cozy and centrally located, with a relaxed, everyday atmosphere. It has the basics I need: a comfortable bed, good bathroom and toilet facilities, and quiet nights. Breakfast is extra, and Victor’s world-class omelets, along with the laundry service, are offered at very reasonable prices. Victor is helpful with local restaurant and shopping tips, and a lively, fun person to talk to who generously shares stories and experiences from his life. Just don’t expect the service style of a traditional hotel. I’ve worked in hotels and prefer to carry my own suitcase. I warmly recommend staying here. Best regards, Rasmus Gerdes

The room was roomy and very clean, and the place was peaceful. I was traveling by myself, and Victor kept me company with some interesting conversations. He did his best to make me comfortable throughout my stay. Even though I checked out late on my last day, he still made me a lovely full breakfast himself.

Yucatan Vista Inn was a lucky find, with comfortable rooms, a nice pool, and a very good breakfast. I’d absolutely recommend staying here. I’d originally planned to stay with friends, and when I thought I was leaving to join them, Victor pointed out that I’d paid for one more night than I realized and refunded that day. He was kind and accommodating, and the friendly staff start with the owner.

Victor even drove me to my next place, and he was always up for a chat and knew a lot about the area. My stay turned out to be a pleasant surprise after finding the hotel on Google Maps. My bus got in very late, but Victor made sure he was there to let me in, which I really appreciated. The bed was comfortable, the room spacious, and I especially liked the bathroom layout. The pool was clean and refreshing too. Breakfast was included each morning, filling, and well worth the price. It’s an older hotel, so don’t expect the Ritz, but it was clean and comfortable, and quiet at night.
