We loved staying at MyPlace Santo Domingo. The apartment had lots of natural light, plenty of storage, a comfortable bed, a well-equipped kitchenette, a lovely bathroom, and a living room with Netflix on the TV. The shower pressure was good, though the hot water ran out sooner than I’d have liked. The building felt very secure from the street, and the door staff were lovely. They let us in even though we arrived after 10pm. It was only a 10-20 minute walk to Centro museums and activities, but the area felt a bit unsafe at night. There’s a big homelessness problem in Mexico City. We used cheap Ubers and Didis for pickup and drop-off after dark, so the location wasn’t an issue for us. The nice accommodation made it worthwhile.
