Barceló México Santa Fe

I stayed here twice before, in 2014 and 2018, when the place was beautiful. Coming back in 2025, the rooms looked as if they hadn't been maintained since 2018. They're old and worn, with mold stains on the ceiling, and the air conditioning barely works. Then at 10pm on a Wednesday, I was woken from a sound sleep by what sounded like a concert outside on the hotel grounds. The front desk apologized and said it would end at 11, but couldn't move me to another room. Completely unacceptable for a Wednesday night. This was my third stay, and I won't give this hotel my business again.

I had a good stay at Camino Real Santa Fe on July 7, 2025, but after checking out I left my carry-on and backpack with the bellboy for a few hours while I waited for my evening flight. Once I'd picked them up and left the hotel, I noticed small electronics were missing from my backpack. The valuables had been locked inside, but someone had forced the zipper open enough to take them. I emailed Elder Velazquez and Berenice Cardenas about the theft within 20 minutes of leaving. They said they'd investigate, but I never heard back. I think checking the security camera footage could have addressed my concern, yet Camino Real didn't respond.

It used to feel like a good deal for the price, but now my experience was terrible. The rooms were dirty and old, the lighting was poor, service was weak, and the food was expensive. I could go on. They really made sure the stay was a bad one, and I won't stay at another hotel in this chain.

The suites are clean and roomy, and you get nice value for your money.
