I liked the location a lot. A short walk gets you to convenience stores, ATMs, a metro connection and little street food stands. It was around 15 minutes on foot to Roma and 20 to El Centro, and the area is flat and easy to walk. I felt safe there, despite what some earlier reviews say. The neighborhood itself doesn’t have a lot right nearby, though. During my September 2025 stay, staff were friendly, and housekeeping made up my room every day for all six nights without disturbing me. The room had no AC, which was fine at that time of year, but the windows barely opened, so fresh air was hard to get. It was noisy, with traffic, nearby car repair shops, and a man yelling “AGUAAAAA” at full volume for hours from 7 a.m. each morning. WiFi only worked in my room if I was in the bathroom or right by the entry door.

We felt unsafe after returning from a long day in the city to find our room door standing wide open. Nothing seemed to have been touched, thankfully, but the room may have been exposed for three or four hours. The next day we specifically asked for no room service because we didn’t want to risk that happening again. That kind of carelessness was unacceptable. Communication was also difficult and frustrating. I understand that Mexico is Spanish-speaking and staff aren’t required to speak English, but this is an international hotel with guests from around the world, and none of the staff spoke even basic English. The heat made the stay very uncomfortable. There was no air conditioning, and the shower pressure was barely a trickle, so it was hard to take a proper shower. A disappointing experience, and the hotel needs to address these serious problems. Do better.

I paid $140 for two nights and it really wasn’t worth it. There was no WiFi, no AC and no service, and none of the staff spoke English, so communication was difficult. The location felt bad and dirty, with no restaurants close by. We had to walk 40 minutes to find food. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else!

There are shops nearby for everyday supplies, and the rooms are in reasonably good condition. There’s a lot of noise from all the car repair shops around. Staff don’t speak English. It’s not a bad hotel, but those are some things you can’t ignore.
