H21 Hospedaje Boutique

A couple of blocks from the main square in charming Coyoacán, this small boutique hotel made for a great stay. The rooms are named for human values, and mine was called Patience. I had a little private garden just outside the bedroom, with the raised bathroom and shower area and a closet looking out onto it. The decor felt carefully considered and mindful of the environment, for example, they don't use plastic. There’s a small living room with big windows and a little kitchen where they serve a light breakfast every day. The space was comfortable overall.

Contemporary Mexican style, very comfortable beds, good showers, Wi-Fi, and coffee in the room. It’s a peaceful, beautiful, friendly and private place. Breakfast is simple, and the coffee is good. If you’re lucky, Lillit will serve you and make your morning start with a smile. A big Gracias to her.

Coyoacán felt like a real neighborhood to come home to, with authentic atmosphere and food, even though it was a bit far from Mexico City’s tourist attractions. We had a spectacular room, well appointed and quiet, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. There was a little music from a nearby bar on Saturday night, but I could still sleep. It worked well for traveling with a teenager who needed her own space. Nearby were Fortinada, where we had breakfast, the Sunday night street market, and Chocolat y Churros, where we ended the night twice. We also had a fun puppet in the room. The location is within walking distance of the central church, Casa Kahla, and Museo de Frida Kahlo, and we’ll definitely come back. The entrance felt welcoming, and the staff were very helpful. Right from the moment you walk in, there’s a calm energy. We stayed in Bondad, a comfortable, well put-together room with a spacious, relaxing terrace, which is why we chose it. The common areas are beautiful, with plants everywhere. It felt like an oasis.
