It felt as if I’d been judged and somehow wasn’t worthy of decent service. I don’t know what to make of it, but it was extremely disappointing and a waste of money. Camino Real would have been a better choice. At check-in, the guy handed me a key and that was it, with no information about breakfast or any other hotel amenities. At the pool, we had to ask for chairs. After a couple of hours on uncomfortable plastic ones, I watched an employee steer a new couple to two deck chairs as they were being vacated, before those guests had even left. We never got a chance to sit there. Most of the deck chairs were empty while people swam, but had their things left on them. We ordered drinks and were told they’d be brought over. Nearly an hour and three reminders later, they arrived. For some reason mine came in a plastic cup, while my husband’s non-alcoholic drink and everyone else’s were in nice glasses. People who ordered after me got proper glasses too. It seemed to happen just to me. Servers kept checking on other people, especially those in the good chairs, but never approached me in the hours we were there. It felt discriminatory.

The room was cozy with a great city view, if you’re on the right side. The attendant even put my lobster in bed, which was so cute to see when I got back from a taxi. The hotel’s in a pretty good spot, with a mall underneath, or you can take a taxi to Patio Santa Fe. I was woken by a motorcycle meet at 7:30 in the morning, though. The food was great, too. Haydee served us very well, and my mother said it was the best coffee of our stay. I got a personal pizza with only pepperoni, and it was great. The dinner rolls were good, and there were mini crunchy breadsticks, though they were a little messy. Great hotel, would recommend.

You can walk to La Mexicana park, several restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping malls from this comfortable hotel in the heart of Santa Fe. The service is great, and the hotel is friendly to dogs and families, so it works well for business trips too.

We had a similar experience to someone a couple of months ago, so it seems nothing has changed. Staff seemed like they didn’t want to work. Two beers took 45 minutes, and the order was wrong. Then it took another 15 minutes for the server to bring the incorrect order again. It’s a bad sign when they can’t get an order for two beers right. We couldn’t even get our bill. Really disappointing.

The receptionist and team were helpful when we arrived, including with our luggage, and valet parking was part of the service. But there was an event on the pool floor, and it was adults only, so I couldn’t take my little one to swim. You should let customers know when events like this are happening. Some guests, like me, travel with children. If I’d known the pool would be occupied, I wouldn’t have booked, since I made the reservation so my little one could have fun in the pool.
