What I liked most was the feel of this quiet neighborhood hangout, with some locals playing dominos in the back and the server treating everyone like a friend. We ordered a combo of sopes with bistek, chicken, and pork, and they were all yummy. The grilled fish was acceptable, nothing special. The cold dessert made from sweetened cheese curds was okay, but I wouldn't order it again any time soon. Lovely little open-air spot.
We found this modest corner spot serving really good Mexican classics. The service was great, and you can choose a table indoors or out on the sidewalk.
The handmade tortillas are the thing that really made this place stand out for me. The staff were kind and attentive, the menu had plenty to choose from, and the portions were generous for such good prices.
It can get loud, but it worked well for dinner and appetizers with a group. The food felt authentic, the prices were good, and the staff were helpful. It’s also close to Frida Kahlo's and Trotsky museums.
