The room itself was very nice, and the staff were nice too. But the music and noise coming into the room were unbearable, and we couldn’t sleep properly. They played loud music at 10 pm, 3 am, and 7 am. If partying is what you’re after, this hotel might suit you; if you want peace and sleep, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

I’ve traveled for business and pleasure all my life, and this was an exceptional experience from beginning to end. The rooms were spacious and immaculate, with more attention to detail than I’ve seen at any other hotel I’ve stayed in. The staff were welcoming and attentive. If you’re in Mexico City, treat yourself to this gem. Booking through Am Ex also comes with lots of perks.

I loved our modern, spacious room. The hotel has only 26 rooms, so it makes sense that there’s no traditional front desk or concierge, nor a big dining area or gym. Both the dining and gym facilities seemed well designed and equipped enough for a comfortable stay, despite someone complaining that the gym was small. I couldn’t work out how to turn on the sauna, so I’d ask staff before going in. At checkout I asked the receptionist why the rooms are named by clock time instead of numbered. They told me the names were inspired by the hotel owner’s singer son’s album “11:11”, and that this is the hotel’s largest room. Staying at Hotel Alexander was a very pleasant experience.

The design is good, but the concierge was notably unresponsive. Requests either weren’t followed up on or took far too long to get a response, which added needless frustration. For a hotel at this level, I expect the concierge service to be prompt and proactive. That wasn’t my experience here.
