Hotel Atenas Plaza

The mattress was so hard it felt like sleeping on the floor, and the room had neither air conditioning nor a fridge. The TV had two lines across the middle, like it had been hit. I wouldn’t recommend the hotel. At check-in, they said my reserved room had a leak and gave me a room with one king bed and one single bed instead of two king beds. They also charged a different price from the one I was supposed to pay.

I stayed for two weeks and found the location very unsafe. Most of the staff were incompetent, apart from one manager who spoke English and two kitchen workers. Some rooms don't even have internet, and where it was available it was so slow that refreshing Facebook took minutes. They say the hotel is four stars, but I’d give it three. There was only one key copy for some rooms, so each morning you had to hand your key to maintenance when you left, or your room wouldn't be cleaned.

Quiet, friendly, and felt safe, with kids seeming fine there too. There’s a supermarket nearby, cheap food out front, and several restaurants close by. The hot water on the fourth floor was oddly hot.

The pizza was tasty and the rooms were great. The location isn't the best, though it is central.
