We spent six nights at Casa Blanca International Hotel. It's a basic, clean place that's usually quiet and conveniently located for getting around Mexico City. Good value for the price, as long as you aren't expecting luxury. One time, a young front desk worker stayed on her phone behind the desk, leaving me waiting around five minutes instead of helping right away. Also, if you ask for the room to be cooler or warmer, there is no AC.

I was there for just two nights. The room had a nice king-size bed, but it felt hard as bricks. There was no AC or ceiling fan, and the construction site, though a house down, was very noisy. At check-in, the man at the front desk seemed in a bad mood and didn't greet me at all.

The room was clean and nice, and they brought me fresh towels and bottled water. It's close to a mall. Practice your Spanish, though, since I think only two people spoke even a little English.

I was born and raised in this wonderful city, though I haven't lived here for two decades. I still visit whenever I can. This is my personal take: if you're visiting from elsewhere, don't want an Airbnb or to spend a fortune on lodging, and care about location, good service, and decent-priced food, this place is a good choice. Some Mexico City hotels were built and run in the 70s and 80s by Spanish expats with a long tradition of hospitality. This is one example. Staying consistent with the service after all these years says a lot.

It was nothing special, Motel 6 quality, but Hotel Casa Blanca did the job for the night. The staff were kind and helpful at check-in and check-out, and we felt safe overall. There was no heat or AC in our room, and the towels and sheets felt a little crusty. Side note, the best mushroom tacos were at the corner food stand. Just step outside and turn left.
