Hotel Duque

I stayed on the fourth floor with my husband and our two small kids. The rooms look decent, there's a table with two chairs, and the dark curtains were useful. Step outside and there's plenty nearby. I'd eat out rather than order room service, the food on that menu is plain. Inside, there were no drawers, heater, AC, microwave, coffee maker, or mini fridge, and the Wi-Fi was awful. The shower had no curtain or door, the floor was uneven, and the beds were extremely hard and rocky. Being next to the freeway made it noisy, and they charged for a small ice bucket. The front desk was the main reason for my one star. They charged for a visitor as if he were staying overnight, even though they knew he was only visiting for 30 minutes. The staff were very rude, hung up while I was still talking, and never said thank you. I'd recommend staying at another nearby hotel. I'm sure you can find better service elsewhere. These people seem desperate to charge for everything, and the front desk treated us with a really bad attitude.

I picked this place because it was the cheapest option close to the airport. It's clean, with TV, Wi-Fi, fresh towels, room service, and the usual hotel amenities. The area didn't seem very safe, and the hotel has a vibe more suited to bringing someone over for sex. They even leave a condom on the room table. For a cheap overnight stop before a transfer, it worked fine for me. I've stayed twice with my girlfriend, just to sleep and get a taxi to the airport, so I can't really complain.

A decent place to stay, and the smart TVs let you sign in to your own streaming services.

It looks a little rough around the edges, but it's a comfortable hotel with full service. Spend a night here and the five-star rating might make sense. When I'm back in Mexico City, this is where I'll stay.
