The night staff were awful, and for what they charged me I could have stayed at the Sheraton or somewhere decent. The whole experience was disgusting. I’ll never recommend this place, and I wouldn’t stay there again even for free. It’s old and shabby, and I felt it was in one of the most dangerous areas of México City. I’m from the City, and only God knows why I stayed there. There’s no cable, the bed is like a rock, and the pillows are just as bad. The towels are so worn you can see through them. Please don’t even consider staying here if you want a safe place.

My room was neither too hot nor too cold, though there was no AC to control. The lighting inside is very dim, but opening the window shade helps during the day. I’ve attached a view from my room. I stayed for the Bad Bunny concert on 12/15, and it wasn’t noisy when I was there. The area is very well lit and felt safe, with an OXXO and about two or three tienditas nearby. There’s a pizza place about 100 feet away, though I can’t remember if it was Domino’s or Pizza Hut. Across the street is a small puestesito selling food. I didn’t try it, and it didn’t really appeal to me. The hotel is also close to Chabacano metro station, probably a five-minute walk. The streets were brightly lit on the way there, with puestos outside the station and along the route to the hotel. I stopped at one around midnight.

The hotel’s location and price are excellent, and the room was big, comfortable, quiet, and easy to access. It was a little dark, but for the price I couldn’t ask for more. I went for Dua Lipa’s concert on 2 December and really liked the reception staff. Check-in was easy. The restaurant was another story. At breakfast, my mom and I were the only guests there at the time, but the waitress was a bit slow and wasn’t kind. Please check on the restaurant staff. Thanks!

I liked the location, with lots of amenities nearby. It feels very much like authentic Mexico City. The service and cleanliness were both great. My only complaints are the dim room lighting, the hard mattress, and the nighttime noise in the neighborhood. Light sleepers should bring earplugs.

There isn’t a lot right nearby, but the area feels safe. The staff were extremely courteous, and it’s a decent hotel.
