The staff were friendly, the rooms were clean and quiet, and the bathroom caused no problems. There’s a small elevator and a small parking lot. Some tourist attractions are within walking distance, and there are several public transport options. I didn’t try the restaurant.

The location works well: the subway and Metrobus are a few blocks away, Reforma’s business district is about a five-minute walk, and there are people around even at night, which helped me feel safe despite the area seeming a little sketchy. The restaurant serves good, reasonably priced Mexican breakfast, and El Progreso taqueria is right across the street. For the price, having my own bed and bathroom here is hard to beat. My single room was a reasonable size for solo travel in Mexico City. It was very clean, with fresh towels and sheets, a clean toilet, a drain valve to keep smells out, and a hot shower with good pressure. Shampoo, soap, and lotion were provided. The elevator was clean and working too. Younger staff were polite, while the older staff were more direct. Room service costs an extra 10%, which seemed fair to me. It wasn’t especially noisy, but at night I could hear neighbors walking with suitcases and watching TV. Construction noise, including drills and hammers, started around 8 am, so earplugs helped. There’s a free drinking water dispenser in the bathroom, but the water looked like it had something floating in it, so I skipped it and bought a bottle at the pharmacy by the entrance. There are no “do not disturb” signs, though you can ask the front desk to cancel housekeeping for the day. The front desk also has safety deposit boxes: you sign a paper, leave 100 pesos, and use two keys, one for you and one for the teller. I felt safe leaving valuables there, and got the 100 pesos back when I returned the key. I’ll be back.

We found Hotel Manalba on booking.com, and after flight delays we arrived at a very late hour. They still went out of their way to check us in. Everyone was friendly, courteous, and helpful, and the restaurant team was especially welcoming. The food there was absolutely divine. The rooms were spacious, airy, and sparkling clean, and the bathrooms were well maintained. It’s a peaceful, cosy place in the heart of Mexico City, with good Wi-Fi and a working TV. The hotel is affordable and decent, and felt safe. I wish I could give it more than five stars. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a good-value place to stay in the city.

For someone like me who travels on a budget, clean and safe matter more than fancy extras, and this place fit the bill. I booked at the last minute for one night and they still had a room available. The room was clean, and the price on the hotel website was really good. It’s close to lots of tourist sites and the business area in CDMX. It wasn’t fancy, but I had a good stay, and the Hotel Manalba staff took great care of me.

We stayed for seven days and will come back to the same place. There are plenty of places to eat within walking distance, taxis are always available at a good price, and we felt safe in the area. The hotel has clean rooms, a good restaurant, a great location, and nice staff. There’s also a dentist about 60 feet to the left of the hotel. My son got a cleaning and a few cavities fixed within two days, and Dr. Speak enough English(Christopher).
