We were happy with our stay and would recommend the hotel. The room felt cozy and spacious, and it was clean. I appreciated the shampoo, soap, towels, and fresh coffee for the coffee maker each morning. Reception is open 24/7, and the place felt very safe. They also gave us a welcome drink :) One small downside: every room window faces the lobby, so you can't get fresh air.

The staff were attentive, and there was coffee in the morning. The room was comfortable, with a clean shower and hot water. At night, I heard a strange sound like a door being opened and shut over and over, though it might have been construction nearby. The decor is pretty cool, but the unlit third floor looked a little creepy at night. It also has speakeasy vibes since you have to call for someone to open the door instead of opening it yourself.

The location is the only thing this place has going for it. Behind the eclectic look, it’s a run-down hotel. Walking in, we were hit by a strong disinfectant smell. We were upgraded to a king suite, but the shower didn’t work properly and flooded the whole bathroom floor. The room lamp and TV were broken, too. There’s no dining or food service, despite what Google says. When I asked for hot water, they said they didn’t offer it and suggested boiling some in the room microwave. They also charged for drinking water, which most 4/5 star hotels provide free. Give this place a miss.

The staff were friendly and attentive, and everything else in our room was OK, but I wouldn’t recommend this hotel or return. There are two sister hotels just down the street, so be careful not to confuse them. We stayed at the suites. The place was so quiet, with no one else around, and its quirky decor and objects related to cults felt weird. When we arrived, the door was locked. It was dark, so we thought the place was closed until a gentleman let us in. He said he kept it locked for security reasons. The shower was horrible: it's a square in the corner, and the sliding doors meet in the middle, so you have to reach across to turn the knob and end up wetting yourself and the floor. The shower head comes straight down in the middle, which is very inconvenient. I hated having to leave my key every day. I’d read the reviews beforehand, so I made sure to leave no valuables in the room or safe. The third floor was the creepiest, with half the floor pitch dark and no lamp or anything. The nude art on the wall was just weird. There are no elevators, and no children are allowed. Not that I’d ever want my kids in a place like that.

The inside was quaint and clean, and the gentleman who checked us in was very accommodating. After we got to the room, things went downhill. It was tiny even by European standards, with no air conditioning or ceiling fan. The only window was in the shower and opened onto the hotel staff laundry room, so sleep was nearly impossible and the room was basically a sauna. The advertised queen bed was actually a full. We complained and thankfully got a room with a king bed, but it still had no air circulation. The bathroom had no counter space, and the shower door was set up so you couldn’t turn on the water without getting blasted with cold water. We told the front desk we couldn’t stay another night because of the experience, but they said there would be no refund. We booked after reading the reviews here, and I’m wondering if those reviewers stayed at the same property. Unless you’re young and seeing the world on a budget, I’d avoid this place. It was a horrible experience.
