The breakfast buffet has plenty of choice, with fresh fruit, natural and freshly squeezed juices, and tasty pastries. Sadly I couldn't try the omelette or scrambled eggs because they use an absurd amount of oil. They also provide bottled water daily, which is handy when heading out. My bed was comfortable, the bedrooms were spacious, the toiletries and amenities were nice, and the staff were friendly. I had a very pleasant stay and highly recommend the hotel.

Our location felt nice and safe, and breakfast at the Urban restaurant and executive lounge was great. We got an upgrade to a modern suite with a beautiful park view as an IHG diamond member. The hotel is old, has no pool, and some of the interior looks dated. The evening cocktail hour on the 39th floor had a great view. The finger food was okay, while the salad and dessert were amazing.

The hotel and its location were very nice, and the rest of the staff were helpful and kind. But the front desk service and the rooms disappointed me. The women checking us in weren't friendly, and although I asked for a single bed, they put me in a double room on a lower floor. Housekeeping also took things that weren't meant to be removed, including the notepads, pens, and pencils I needed for work.

Breakfast was excellent, and the lobby and shared spaces managed to feel elegant and relaxed. The whole stay at InterContinental Presidente Mexico City was flawless, with a rare level of consistency. In Polanco, the location is hard to beat: safe, walkable, and surrounded by some of Mexico City's best restaurants, cafés, and shopping. Everything was easy to get to. Our spacious, beautifully designed room had thoughtful details, and housekeeping was impeccable. The bed gave us deep, jet-lag-free sleep, which says a lot. What stood out most was the service. Every staff member was professional, friendly, and attentive without being intrusive. We felt welcomed and well cared for. This is exactly how a 5-star hotel should feel. I'd absolutely stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting Mexico City.

The manager offered to take me back to the bar for a complimentary drink and another try at service. It was a nice gesture, but felt awkward. A credit or voucher would've been better, since I didn't want to face the same staff after filing a complaint. The service was horrible for a five-star hotel. There were about 20 customers and 4-6 servers in the bar when I went to close out the night. I waited 15 minutes, then had to get a server's attention to order a drink. Another 20 minutes passed before I asked again, and after a final 20 minutes I walked out to complain at the front desk.
