Roma Norte was a great base, and the Nebula Suite at La Valise was genuinely beautiful and distinctive. But at the price we paid, the stay felt far short of a full luxury hotel. Breakfast could take nearly an hour, and things like orange juice or yogurt either arrived very late or not at all. A buffet would work better. There was no proper room service or dinner onsite, no gym, and the pool was out of order during our visit. The place felt closer to a small boutique Airbnb: hardly a lobby, a finicky entry and key system, and little concierge help with plans. When we asked about Lucha Libre tickets, the woman at the front desk said they were sold out and couldn't assist. I had to find and book tickets myself. We liked the room's design, but the place is pretty and massively overpriced for what you get. We expected a much smoother, more complete luxury experience.

The staff made this stay feel special, and being able to reach them easily on WhatsApp was so convenient. They were professional, kind, and caring, and I enjoyed catching up with them. Breakfast at the first-floor cafe was another highlight. We could eat downstairs or in our room, and the coffee and every meal were a treat. We booked the spacious, clean Gravity room, with its thoughtfully separated spaces: a bright living room, bedroom opening onto a private outdoor area, roomy closet, and huge bathroom with a double shower and freestanding tub. They even left bath salts beside it. On our last night we were upgraded to the top-floor Polaris suite. Its back glass wall opens so you can roll the bed outside and sleep under the stars. Such a unique room. I was so happy to extend my trip for more time at La Valise. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

The almond croissant and the coffee, especially the cappuccino, are still on my mind. The cafe connected to this cute little boutique hotel serves breakfast, and both were amazing. The place reminded me of Paris, and the staff were wonderful. It was my first time in Mexico City, and I went with a group to celebrate a milestone birthday.

The spa treatments left my husband and me feeling completely blissed out. We stayed in the spacious, well-equipped Gravity Suite, and that bed was so comfortable I could've happily spent the whole visit in it. From arrival through departure, service was impeccable. Adriana, Erick, and Daniela were attentive and friendly every time we interacted with them. The thoughtful design details throughout La Valise are beautifully put together. It's a lovely boutique hotel in Roma Norte, and we look forward to coming back to Mexico City and staying here again.

For our first trip to Mexico City, La Valise was a perfect pick. It's right in the middle of Roma Norte, close to everything. The rooms were really clean, and the staff went above and beyond to make the stay feel special. We had a phenomenal time.
