The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the freshly made complimentary breakfast was a good way to start the day. I liked the location and comfortable bed, and the pillows were good. The Nespresso machine in the room was welcome, though I had to ask them to bring a corkscrew and hairdryer. Shampoo, body wash, and conditioner were all good quality. The double-pane windows kept outside noise out, but sounds from the hallway came through because the doors aren’t sealed well. The bathroom could also smell from the pipes, although the water pressure was great.

The location is fantastic, but that was about the only good thing. Our room was dirty, sanding dust covered the property, only one outlet worked if propped up, the water pressure was poor, and the water was barely hot. We went to Mexico City for three nights for my husband's birthday and booked through Expedia. Our flight was eight hours late, so we arrived after midnight on the first night. A very rude receptionist, whose English was nearly nonexistent, told us for the first time that renovations were underway and noise would start at 7AM. We could find somewhere else or pay for all three nights. We felt we had no choice. Things got worse from there. When I asked for at least a partial refund because of the renovations and dust, they said we could have cancelled when we arrived.

The housekeeping team were the best I’ve ever had, so careful about making the room look great. They even folded towels into toothbrush holders after noticing ours on the counter. The breakfast chef was friendly and took time to chat with us. Our room’s sauna was incredibly relaxing, and the hotel sits in Condesa, surrounded by bakeries and restaurants. Couldn’t be more thankful for such a wonderful stay in Mexico City.

We loved being able to walk out the door and find so much to see and explore. After five nights, I also enjoyed relaxing on the private, comfortable rooftop, though it isn’t very high and the view isn’t special. Our first-floor room stayed peaceful despite construction on other levels, a bar directly below, and the housekeeping closet outside our door. The windows blocked street noise, and there weren’t many people coming and going in this small hotel. I spent most of a day in the room after getting sick from a bad restaurant and wasn’t bothered by the noise at all. Breakfast was on point, with everything you could want, and the chef got each day off to an excellent start. Best hotel I’ve stayed at in a long time.
