The location is great, but this isn't a hotel. There's basically no service; it feels more like a self-service Air b&b. Don't pay for breakfast, because there isn't any. The kitchen is so filthy that maybe that's for the best. I mean, there's a dirty toilet bowl sitting in the kitchen for some reason. If you don't mind a dirty Air b&b, fine, just don't expect a hotel stay or any kind of service.

The room was clean and had a mini fridge, plus a cute balcony overlooking a small yard. There’s no microwave, kitchen, or shared space, and the place next door has noisy kids around all day.

It's a bargain in an incredible spot, and the staff were pleasant. Still, the service fell short: they never answered our messages about sending a shuttle to pick us up at the airport. The rooms are very basic and need repairs and improvements.

Pepper my love! We picked it because of the name, and it lived up to that. The staff were friendly and really helpful, and the bath had hot water with good pressure. The bed was comfortable, though bring warm pajamas because Mexico City can get cold at night. My friend slept amazingly on the couch, too. We chose this cheaper place near coyoacan to be close to the bus station and airport, but I could see staying here for a week. Our room had a fridge and a small kitchen. The neighborhood felt safe, and Ubers to pretty much anywhere were really cheap.

Pepper my love is close to a lot, and the neighborhood has plenty to see and do. There are meat, vegetable, and fruit stands, home and gift decor, coffee shops, pastries, restaurants, and ATMs down the street. Use the ATMs during the day, not at night. Google Maps helped me judge the walks. A park is about 17 minutes away, but make a sharp left when heading there from the hotel. If you go straight, you'll reach an exit where they won't let you enter, and could end up walking three miles around the park. Keep following the map; after about six minutes past the vendors, you'll find the entrance. It's a huge wooded park with places to walk, jog, run, or lie on a blanket. The Frida Kahlo museum and Diego rivera museum are nearby. Uber Eats was great when I was really hungry: my McDonald's arrived hot and tasty in 20 minutes, and there are options in the app. My room was spacious, though the TV was small and only had Netflix and youtube. The bed was hard, and the pillows were so worn I had to stack them. The man at the door brought me a new comforter, and I added a small blanket from the closet. There's a mini fridge for snacks from down the street, plus a menu on top with food available for a price, like pancakes, eggs, and coffee. The bathroom spray was weak, more like fast drips even when turned all the way up. Francesca did my laundry, washed it, used Downey, and folded it. That service gets five stars from me. Be sure to tip her 5.00 converted to pesos. I can't remember how I originally booked, possibly through priceline.com, which gives a different number from the website. I messaged on Whatsapp.com with my name and email and was told my dates were set. When I arrived, the polite man answering the door seemed unsure what was happening. He messaged someone, took a picture of our conversation, and quoted MX 700.00 per night. He swiped my card, I signed, and he showed me the room and gave me a bedroom key and a gate key. I wasn't offered a choice of room. From the webpage, I expected a window facing the street or backyard, but that wasn't what I got. I usually don't complain and try to make the best of things, but the bed was a problem. If you're very low maintenance, this might suit you. Ask for prices for the rooms you want and insist on an email confirmation, or you may get a plain room with little to appreciate. It reminded me of motel 6 in San Ysidro.
